I went to Little Tokyo with cute young lady and found this at the Sanrio store. I was tempted to buy it but resisted and bought a dope reflective Hello Kitty instead from the store across from Sanrio. Pictures to come!

We have a bleeder!

I sliced a piece of my finger off while cutting the cover board used for the cover of the DVD set that I made for my landlady.

She asked me to make DVD of her family's year long trip to Europe. Instead of just giving her a DVD with 'Europe' written on it I decided; why not make a cover and add a few extra random shit to it. Here is a picture of 1 of 4 of the DVD sets that I made.

The cover features a gold leaf foil, inside is lined with a map of Paris, France. The money is from different countries around Europe. The DVD is a picture of a 2 Franc coin from around the period they were in Europe.

MACAFRAMA Mania!

I checked out MACAFRAMA on Saturday, saw some homies I haven't seen in a while. The shitty part of the night was that I was sick and was out in the cold watching the movie for a second time. I had about 6-8 shots of vodka redbulls and forgot that I did not have anything to eat except a handful of popcorn. I got to my friends house in LB, stayed there for 5 mins. and took off. I rode fast back home because it was really cold, not realizing that I still had alcohol in my system. I got home and felt worse then I did at the beginning of the night. I slowly worked my way into the house and sat on the toilet, I felt as if I was going to puke but instead I took a duce and felt a lot better. (Great pics right?) Oh by the way I saw Zach De La Rocha!

Foam Padding

I was searching for foam padding so that I can send a picture to china for work. While searching I came across this picture.

Glass out of the frames into my hand!

In this picture are some frame I purchase off of ebay. The optometrists said that they couldn't take the the lens. I took it upon myself to take it out with my bear hands. At first I thought that they were plastic lenses, so I used my power drill. After no success, I decided to just pop them out with my thumbs. I achived great success with with a small price. As you can see there is a small cut on my hand. ehhh. The lenses turned out to be glass and it shaddered everywhere. The second lens did not come out so easily so I took a screw driver and and hammer but not after taping the lens and boom done. Proved the optometrists wrong!

Football Wednesday

So I went to my friends practice again and I was doing horribly, which reminds me that I need to practice on my own more often.

The fun part of the practice is that I started to get a handle on the ball doing some fancy tricks and scoring twice. The last one I scored was the winning goal and in the face of this guy that takes it too seriously, while he was trying to slide tackle the ball away! BOOYAH!

The weekend update

Finally! Starting to sketch again. This is my first real attempt in years. I just started so don't be too critical.

I am trying to get in to the rhythm of drawing and processing what I see on to paper. It is hard! It was never really this hard.

As I was drawing this picture I was thinking of how I would draw the character from Invisible Monsters. I came to the conclusion that I want it to be part realistic, part simple cartoon. The character described in the book is very graphic and what I want to portray is something more beautiful and pleasing to the eye. More to come.

I finished Invisible Monsters a while ago. After reading the book I felt very inspired to draw again. So I text my homie here to be a reference model. She generously agreed to let me photograph her.

Hopefully this weekend I will be able to start on the rough sketch and after that painting.

The book is written by Chuck Palahniuk, the same guy that wrote Fight Club, Lullaby and Choke.

Sketching

So I started sketching last weekend because I have to help out with Christmas Decorations. So my landlady's daughter came up with the great idea (sarcasm) of decorating the house as if it was Nightmare before Christmas.

New old broken watch

So I just picked this up from the post office today and being the dumb ass I was rushing and left my keys in the car. So I called my mom to call my gramps to get the extra key. And to top it off the Seconds hand on the watch fell the fuck off. So now I am trying to get this guy to give me a portion of my money back.

So yesterday I practice with my friend's football team and I got hit in the face with the ball. It was a bummer for a minute but I kept on playing. I think some of the guys were bummed out that my first touch was horrible, but they don't know I haven't played in 3 months. I had a few good chances at goal and had some good passes. Can't complain too much I will get better!

Golden state on fire!

This sucks for the people that had their houses go up in flames. When I went out on Saturday all the ashes fell everywhere and it was sad to think that these ashes could be someones house, pictures, etc. :(.
